Introduction to Backyard BBQ Competition Series - Ribs

This new class series will have you ready to take on a Backyard BBQ Competition in no time. You will be introduced to some competition-winning tips and tricks by Wrecking Crew BBQ's very own Alan Larrimore. 

In this series, we will be hosting a chicken-focused class, along with a rib-focused class. 

You will learn the following: 

• Introduction to Kansas City BBQ Society (KCBS) and Minnesota BBQ Society     
  • Meat selection and trimming
  • Brining and injections
  • Seasoning and sauce selection
  • Turn in box building
  • Competion Chicken and Rib demos

   

We encourage you to sign up for both classes! As usual, we will start off the night with a "social half-hour" at 5:30pm with class starting at 6pm. 

Dates:

• Competition Chicken Class - Wednesday, February 15th
• Competition Rib Class - Wednesday, March 8th (this is the rescheduled date)

About the Team: 

Wrecking Crew BBQ is a family team who began competing in 2021 in the KCBS Backyard series. over the past two years, they have traveled across the midwest representing The Smokestack BBQ supply store and competing in backyard competitions . . . Some awards the have won include:

• Multiple Grand and Reserve Grand Championships
• 2022 Minnesota BBQ Society Backyard Team of the Year
• 2022 Minnesota BBQ Society 2nd place Backyard Rib Team of the Year
• 2022 Kansas City BBQ Society 4th place Backyard Rib Team of the Year
• 1st Place ribs 2022 American Royal Backyard competition.
